OMG! It took FOREVER to get here today, when we got to Phuket town it was stupidly expensive (at a hostel!?!) so we headed to betong beach, MISTAKE, the nice scottish lady in Koh Jum was right it is actually worse than blackpool in the sun!? :o( we found a room 800B for 3 of us but it had,A/C, free net and a small pool so we made the most of that did our washing and decided to head down to Karon Beach the next day, hoping to find sumthing a lot quieter and cheaper. Betong is a total tourist trap packed with bars restaurant go-go girls Mai Thia Boxing and pushy hostesses trying to bully you into eating in their restaurant or bar i'm sure kat nearly hit one when they blocked her path and tryed to push her into the restaurant!?

Karon Beach is much nicer! Still quite touristy but in comparison to Petong a haven :oD we stayed at a massage parlour which had rooms out the back, found a really cool Hostel 'Boost' to hangout in, Jerry the owner was Kiwi and very cool :oD we didnt really do much whilst we were in Karon, beached it a few days, played Cluedo at Jerry's whilst it rained and ate sum quite nice food. Made a trip up to the Big Buddah at sunset one evening, well worth the trip you get a fantastic view over Phuket and its a very nice buddah, still under construction but you are able to see the workshop and how they actually but the statue together so it was pritty interesting.

I gave sum guy the fright of his life last night :oD it was 6am and he was stood outside (RIGHT OUTSIDE) our door singing 'i like to move it move it' in what i think was a very deep swedish accent... i'm sure you can imagine i wasnt best pleased being woken up to this so i opened the door a screamed at him... not so scary your thinking? Well i had curled my hair the night b4 not taken off my make up (which i had put on for the 1st time in weeks) and had my knickers and vest top on....AKA looking like Madussa... he was wasted and the look on his face was a picture :oD

We've decided to head out to Koah Sok National Park tomorrow. Quite looking forward to getting away from the tourist areas and the beach (yes shock horror, claire's sick of the beach) its sounds amazing out in the forrest tree houses and probebly way too many spiders!!!
